mv – can be used to rename and move files
mv name newName
mv name destination

to view all variables printenv

to view value of one echo $PS1

PATH is important variable, it’s a colon separated list of paths to programs. which can be can ran through command line and terminal will search in all links in path.

to view value of PATH echo $PATH

whichever link is found first will be used, so if there are two links to two different versions of git then whichever git path is first in list will be ran.

ls -la | grep mysql
l = list
a = all

which- finds path of command

clang = closed source version of gcc

gemrc = gem config file

pv -rb (pipe reviewer)
